The trade press showed great interest in the work of the International Teachers of Floristry at the FloralDesign Edition stand. But judging by the numerous photographs that were taken, visitors too seemed to like the arrangements from Japan, Guadeloupe, the Netherlands and Pakistan.

International teachers demonstrate their floristry
It is the fourth time that students from three continents are demonstrating their floristry art at the FloralDesign Edition stand during the international plant fair IPM in Essen. This time there will again be floristry schools from five different countries that will surely create a multi-cultural atmosphere and attract the attention of visitors.

According to Eurostat, the imports of cut flowers into the EU have risen in the first half of 2012 compared with the same period in the previous year.
The largest importer of cut flowers, the Netherlands, has raised its import values from South America and Africa by approx. 10 %.
Furthermore, the direct imports by Germany have increased by 10 % in the first half of 2012, primarily from the African countries Kenya and Ethiopia.
